Castle Smashers

Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Castle Smashers game for Android (package com.castlesmashers.game) and this website. Effective 31 October 2026.

The short version

  • There are no accounts. The game never asks for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
  • Your progress is saved only on your phone.
  • Google services in the game handle a small amount of data so we can show ads, count how levels are played, fix crashes, send notifications and process purchases.
  • You can turn off analytics, crash reports and notifications in the game's Settings. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you choose whether ads may be personalised.

1. Who we are

Castle Smashers is made and published by Intercore, a sole proprietorship based in India ("we", "us"). We decide how the data described here is used and are responsible for it. You can reach us at intercoreapp@gmail.com.

2. Data the game handles

We do not run our own servers and we do not receive your data directly. The services below are built into the game. Each one is provided by Google and processes data under Google's terms.

ServiceDataWhy
Google AdMob and User Messaging PlatformAdvertising ID, IP address and the approximate location it reveals, device model and settings, app version, ad views, taps and rewards, your consent choicesShow ads, count and pay for them, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud, and remember your consent
Google Analytics for FirebaseGame events (listed in section 4), Firebase installation ID, app instance ID, advertising ID, device model, Android version, language, country, app version and how the game was installedFind out which levels are too hard or too easy and improve the game
Firebase CrashlyticsCrash and error reports: stack trace, device model, Android version, free memory and disk, app version, Firebase installation ID, and the build, level and game phase at the time of the crashFind and fix crashes
Firebase Cloud MessagingA push token for your installation and the news topics it is subscribed toDeliver game news and reminders
Google Play BillingProduct bought, order ID, purchase token, time of purchaseProcess purchases and restore Remove Ads after a reinstall

A Firebase installation ID and an app instance ID are random identifiers created for this copy of the game. They are not your name or your Google account, and they change if you reinstall the game.

3. Advertising and consent

The game shows a short full-screen ad between some levels, and video ads that you choose to watch for a reward. Ads never appear in the middle of a level or in your first session. Buying Remove Ads stops all of them.

  • EEA, UK and Switzerland: before any ad loads, Google's consent form asks whether ads may use your data for personalisation. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Ad Privacy in the game.
  • US states with privacy laws: where Google shows a privacy message for your state, Settings → Ad Privacy also lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for targeted ads.
  • Everywhere: you can delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on your phone). After that, you only see ads based on the game and general location.

All ads are limited to Google's PG rating (suitable for general audiences with parental guidance). Read how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

4. Analytics and crash reports

The game only sends events from a fixed list. It drops any other event before it leaves your phone. Events never contain your name, email, contacts, payment details or anything you type.

  • Game start and end, session count and length, days since install
  • Level started, completed, failed or retried, with level number, attempt, stars, score, time, shots and heroes used
  • Tutorial finished
  • Rewarded ad watched and full-screen ad shown, with the level and reward
  • Purchases and failed purchases (product and reward only), crates opened, coins spent on upgrades and skins
  • Daily spin used and notification opened

Firebase also records a few standard events on its own, such as first open and app update. Crash reports are sent the next time you open the game after a crash.

You can turn off both analytics and crash reports in Settings → Analytics. Nothing more is collected until you turn it back on.

5. Notifications

On Android 13 and later, the game asks for permission before showing any notification. We send two kinds:

  • Reminders, such as your free daily spin being ready. Your phone schedules these itself, and no data leaves the device to create them.
  • News, such as a new event or levels. These are sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging to everyone subscribed to a topic. We never target a single player.

Turning off Settings → Reminders cancels scheduled reminders and unsubscribes your phone from every news topic. You can also block notifications for the game in Android settings.

6. Purchases

Purchases are handled by Google Play. Your card or other payment details go to Google and never reach us. The game receives a purchase record (product, order ID and purchase token) to give you the item and to restore Remove Ads. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.

7. Data kept on your device

Your levels, stars, coins, upgrades, skins and settings are stored in a save file inside the game's private storage on your phone. We cannot see it. It is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its storage in Android settings, and Android may include it in your own device backup.

8. Android permissions

Wake lock and background workLets Google's libraries finish sending reports and deliver messages

The game does not use your camera, microphone, contacts, files, photos or location sensors.

9. Sharing and selling

We only share data with the Google services listed in section 2, which process it to provide those services. We do not sell your personal data for money. Under some US state laws, letting an ad network use your advertising ID for personalised ads counts as "selling" or "sharing". You can opt out as described in section 3. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

10. Your choices

  • Analytics and crash reports: Settings → Analytics in the game.
  • Reminders and news: Settings → Reminders in the game, or Android notification settings.
  • Ad consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland, some US states): Settings → Ad Privacy in the game.
  • Personalised ads anywhere: delete or reset your advertising ID in Android settings.
  • All ads: buy Remove Ads.
  • Everything on your phone: uninstall the game or clear its storage.

11. Retention and deletion

  • Analytics data linked to an installation is kept by Google for up to 14 months, then deleted. Summary reports with no identifiers may be kept longer.
  • Crash reports are kept for 90 days.
  • Push tokens that are not used for 270 days are removed by Firebase.
  • Ad data is kept by Google as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Purchase records are kept by Google Play for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

To ask us to delete analytics and crash data linked to your installation, email intercoreapp@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data". Include the game version (shown at the bottom of Settings) and roughly when you played. We will ask Google to delete the data for that installation within 30 days and confirm by email. Uninstalling the game also stops all collection and creates new random identifiers if you install it again.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct it, or have it deleted;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
  • object to or restrict some processing;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data and of targeted advertising;
  • appoint someone to act for you;
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

These rights come from laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and US state privacy laws including California's CCPA. Email us to use any of them. We reply within 30 days and will not treat you differently for using your rights. Because the game has no accounts, we may ask for your installation details so we can find your data.

Grievances (India): Intercore is the contact for grievances under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Write to intercoreapp@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

For people in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we rely on:

  • consent for personalised ads and for notifications;
  • legitimate interests for analytics, crash reports, non-personalised ads and fraud prevention, which keep the game working and free to play;
  • performance of a contract for purchases.

Google may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Google uses safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

14. Security

All data the game sends travels encrypted over HTTPS. Firebase and AdMob data is stored on Google's infrastructure and protected by Google's security measures. We only see reports in the Firebase and AdMob consoles, which are protected by the developer account sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as we can to keep the risk low.

15. Children

Castle Smashers has a cartoon style and is rated for a general audience, but it is not directed at children under 13. In Google Play it is listed for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the game and data about them was collected, email us and we will delete it.

16. This website

This site has no cookies, analytics, ads or forms. It is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to this policy

If the game starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the effective date at the top before the change reaches the game.
